What is true about God?

• He loves me with steadfast love
• He holds me up
• He consoles me (comfort in grief or disappointment)
• He cheers my soul

The God of the Universe cares enough to do these things!!

What is true about the world?

• The world gives me cares that are heavy, and I can’t carry them alone

What is true about me?

• My foot will slip because I can’t walk in my own strength
• My heart will have cares because living in this world is hard

How do these truths change my life today?

• God “has me” in all things. Hard moments will come, but God will hold me, and even cheer my soul! Therefore I can rejoice during difficult and overwhelming times!
• God is with me day and night: “By day the Lord commands his steadfast love, and at night his song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life.” (Psalm 42:8 ESV)
• God is with me and is in control of all things. I need to be active and intentional at setting Him before me, relying on His promises of steadfast love – He wants me to reply on Him: “I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.” (Psalm 16:8 ESV)
• I am assured of God’s steadfast love for me because Jesus already died and rose for me: “He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?” (Romans 8:32 ESV)
